Position: COBOL Developer

Location: Des Moines, IA - Hybrid

Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 base (depending on experience) + bonus + exceptional benefits

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications

Support batch processing and scheduled jobs

Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes

Partner with technical and business teams on ongoing initiatives

Contribute to modernization and migration efforts

Qualifications

COBOL development experience

Experience with JCL, batch processing, or similar job scheduling tools

Unix, Linux, HP3000/HP9000, or AS/400 (IBM i) experience preferred

Strong problem-solving and production support skills

Ability to work effectively within a small team environment
