Coating / Painting Inspectors

Verify surface preparation methods, ensuring adherence to specified standards like SSPC-SP or NACE standards, which is critical for coating longevity. Conduct thorough inspections of coating applications, including dry film thickness (DFT) measurements and visual assessments, using calibrated instruments to guarantee quality. Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and coating procedures, making sure you understand the scope of work and applicable standards. Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point) to confirm they are within acceptable limits before, during, and after coating applications, preventing failures. Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions, maintaining an accurate record of the coating process. Witness and document coating material mixing and application, ensuring proper mixing ratios, application techniques, and coverage rates, to maintain performance. Perform holiday detection to identify any pinholes or discontinuities in the coating film, guaranteeing complete coverage and protection. Desired Candidate Profile • Having a total experience of min. 5 years in the Oil & Gas industry (construction and source inspection). • Engineering Diploma in a relevant discipline. • NACE Level I / II or CSWIP / BGAS Grade 1 / 2, or another acceptable equivalent (approved by COMPANY). • Good English lingual skills.
