Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Purpose: To provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Electricity Distribution & Supply, Water & Wastewater companies to achieve operational excellence. Working closely with the relevant subsidiaries CEOs and senior operations leadership teams to improve technical, operational, commercial and financial performance and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and performance standards. Spearhead the strategic sourcing and procurement for Nama Holding and Nama Group with an annual expenditure over OMR 400 million. Oversee Nama Group's Business Resilience and Continuity, Crisis Management, and Information Security for a total asset base of over OMR 6 billion. Provide strategic oversight for the overall Group's service reliability, in line with Nama Group long-term strategic vision, and in compliance with established legal and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Key contributor in the identification and articulation of the strategic direction and vision for Nama Holding and group companies and support in the communication with the stakeholders, including the employees. Nama Group Owns & leads the operational strategy development for the group companies and Strategy. Development and ensure this are being cascaded across the group. Provide guidance in identifying and finalizing the focus areas and annual performance objectives for the group companies operating under Nama Group. Spearhead the group companies to achieve and surpass business KPIs for service reliability, revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Oversee the setting of the subsidiary's annual targets in line with the overall Nama group strategy. Monitor the performance, report and advice corrective action directly with the board s performance and/or the management of the subsidiaries Lead and drive benchmarking activities within and outside the group by conducting R&D Group research and development (R&D) to develop innovations that strengthen the Nama Group position in the marketplace. Identify opportunities for synergy in procurement and standardization of specifications. Manage the execution of group wide contracts, Maintaining compliance to the approved policies and processes. Drive cost efficiency and capitalize on synergies between the different group companies. Identify opportunities for synergy in procurement and standardization of specifications. Establish a framework for regularly monitoring the progress of the strategic group wide initiatives. Drive the change management process for all strategic initiatives including regular communications, knowledge sharing/ transfer and skill development sessions with all Management stakeholders. Monitor the performance of subsidiary relevant executives and advice on succession planning Oversee the establishment of the framework for strategic people processes like succession planning, high-potential employee identification and performance management in operational functions across the Group Closely monitor the succession pipeline for critical positions; closely monitor the Planning development of potential successors to those positions Act as a symbol of partnerships and collaboration with all stakeholders MOF, APSAR, OIA, Board of Directors, Group Leadership, Customers and employees. Effectively engage with the relevant stakeholders to regularly communicate with them Management in matters relating to Nama Group, issues faced and support required. To Lead and implement Nama Group Business Resilience Strategies through Protocols for Nama identifying risks, threats and vulnerabilities that could impact group operations. Lead and maintain Nama Group Business Continuity and crisis management policies, function operations frameworks and plan and manage the response of the group during disruptive events Effective response such as natural disasters, cyber-attacks and technical failures. Support Nama Group in maintaining and improving incident/crisis management mechanism in response planning and capabilities and play a lead part in response and reporting in place. the event of the major incident to ensure precautions are in place and reactions are prompt. Ensure Nama Group compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental Health Safety & management policies, procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, Environment legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude. Oversee Nama Group Compliance of Quality and service standards and ensure Protocols for Group common reporting mechanism across the group. Monitor and ensure the compliance of Nama Group companies with the legal and function operations. regulatory requirements Job Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in business management utility Industry. And or relevant Business And or Engineering from an accredited educational institution Master s degree in Business Administration is preferred Professional Experience: 13 years of progressive Professional Experience with a Minimum 5 years experience in the utility industry Broad experience in senior executive role with experience in managing significant workforce. Strong knowledge of commercial laws and government liaising At least 6 years of experience in a leadership role.
