Chief Financial Officer

Seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company s financial strategy, planning, reporting, risk management, and financial operations. The CFO will serve as a key member of the senior management team, providing financial leadership and business insight to support sustainable growth, operational efficiency, profitability, and long-term strategic objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring strong financial governance, effective cash-flow management, accurate financial reporting, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards. Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Leadership Develop and implement the company s overall financial strategy in alignment with business objectives. Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and Board of Directors. Evaluate business opportunities, investments, and major commercial decisions from a financial perspective. Establish financial objectives, KPIs, and performance-monitoring mechanisms. Drive initiatives to improve profitability, efficiency, and financial performance. Financial Planning & Analysis Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes. Prepare long-term financial plans and business forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts and recommend corrective actions. Provide management with financial analysis, business insights, and performance reports. Analyze revenue, margins, operating costs, working capital, and profitability. Financial Management Oversee the company s accounting, finance, treasury, and financial reporting functions. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Maintain strong controls over accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, cash, and working capital. Optimize cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity to support business operations. Oversee banking relationships, financing facilities, and credit arrangements. Monitor debt, financing costs, and capital structure. Accounting & Compliance Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. Oversee the preparation of financial statements and management accounts. Ensure appropriate internal financial controls and accounting policies are maintained. Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other financial institutions. Ensure timely completion of audits and implementation of audit recommendations. Risk Management & Internal Controls Identify and assess financial and operational risks affecting the company. Develop and maintain appropriate financial controls and risk-mitigation measures. Establish policies and procedures to protect company assets and minimize financial exposure. Monitor credit, liquidity, foreign exchange, and other relevant financial risks. Support the company s business continuity and crisis-management planning. Commercial & Business Support Partner with senior management and department heads to improve business performance. Provide financial evaluation of major contracts, investments, acquisitions, and capital expenditures. Review pricing, margins, commercial terms, and profitability. Support strategic negotiations with suppliers, customers, banks, and business partners. Promote a strong culture of financial accountability throughout the organization. Team Leadership Lead, develop, and mentor the Finance and Accounting team. Establish clear responsibilities, objectives, and performance standards. Develop the team s technical and professional capabilities. Promote accuracy, integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance function. Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is strongly preferred. 7+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including significant senior-management experience. Previous experience as a CFO, Finance Director, Financial Controller, or senior finance executive is preferred. Experience in the manufacturing, trading, distribution, retail, or related industries is an advantage. Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, taxation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Strong understanding of corporate governance, internal controls, and risk management. Experience managing banking relationships and financing facilities.
