Chief Accountant

Prepare the monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) in line with USALI and IFRS, with variance analysis against budget and prior year. Lead the month-end close, with accruals, prepayments, bank and intercompany reconciliations, and fixed asset and inventory accounting. Present the monthly results and commentary to the Finance Manager. Supervise and develop the accounts team (AP, AR, payroll, income audit, cost control). Make sure VAT and Corporate Tax filings, WPS payroll payments and statutory deadlines are met, working with tax advisors. Support the annual audit and budget and forecast preparation. Maintain internal controls & Compliances, payment approvals etc.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 in a hotel or hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of USALI, IFRS, UAE VAT and Corporate Tax. Hands-on experience with Hospitality systems (e.g. Opera PMS, POS) and an ERP or back-office accounting system, plus advanced Excel. Proven ability to prepare and present financial reports to senior management. Strong leadership, attention to detail and communication skills. Employment Type Full-time
