Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Accountant to oversee and strengthen our financial operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mastery of IFRS, with the ability to manage complex accounting processes, cost control, and audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all accounting operations including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable/receivable
• Prepare and present financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Nigerian regulations
• Ensure compliance with Taxes
• Oversee internal controls, audits, and risk management processes
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Provide financial analysis and forecasts to support project bids and management decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA) is an advantage
• Minimum 8 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of IFRS. Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAGE, SAP)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills

Desired Candidate Profile
