Business Development Executive - Landscaping, Irrigation & Nursery
Job Overview
Develop business-development plans for priority sectors, customer groups, regions, and service lines in alignment with company growth and profitability objectives. Research public and private investment programs, development projects, construction activity, facility-management needs, and seasonal nursery demand in Saudi Arabia. Identify projects at concept, design, tender, and procurement stages and map the client, consultant, developer, main contractor, decision-makers, competitors, budget, and timeline. Maintain a structured market and opportunity register with clear qualification criteria, estimated value, probability, next action, owner, and target decision date. Build trusted relationships with developers, government entities, consultants, contractors, facilities managers, hospitality and commercial operators, and other priority accounts. Prepare account plans identifying customer strategy, current and future projects, stakeholders, competitors, relationship gaps, and cross-selling opportunities. Arrange executive meetings, capability presentations, nursery and project visits, technical workshops, and follow-up actions that strengthen the company's position. Coordinate customer communication across management, Sales, Technical Office, Projects, and Nursery teams to ensure consistent messages and professional follow-through. Lead or coordinate client, consultant, developer, and contractor prequalification processes and maintain current registrations, profiles, experience records, certificates, and reference projects. Identify and evaluate alliances with suppliers, designers, specialist contractors, and other partners that strengthen capability, market access, or tender competitiveness. Work with technical teams to understand customer objectives and shape suitable landscape, irrigation, nursery-supply, and maintenance approaches before formal pricing. Support expressions of interest, requests for information, tender invitations, presentations, and early-stage proposals while protecting confidential and commercially sensitive information. Qualify opportunities based on strategic fit, scope, value, timing, competition, decision process, technical capability, payment risk, expected margin, and probability of success. Coordinate bid/no-bid recommendations and complete a documented handover to Estimation, Technical Office, Sales, or Projects with all available customer and opportunity information. Track milestones from initial lead through prequalification, tender, negotiation, award, and handover, escalating delays, relationship risks, and required management actions. Prepare weekly and monthly reports covering market developments, account activity, qualified pipeline, tender invitations, partnerships, forecasts, wins and losses, and planned next steps.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience in landscaping, irrigation, nurseries, construction, real estate, or facilities management is preferred. Demonstrated experience developing strategic accounts, building project pipelines, securing prequalification, and coordinating complex opportunities. Good understanding of project procurement cycles, tenders, commercial evaluation, partnerships, and stakeholder decision-making in Saudi Arabia. Fluent Arabic and good working English, with proficiency in CRM systems, presentations, reports, and Microsoft Office tools. Strategic market analysis, opportunity qualification, account planning, and pipeline development. Executive-level communication, networking, presentation, relationship building, and stakeholder mapping. Commercial judgment, basic financial and margin awareness, negotiation, and bid/no-bid reasoning. Ability to understand landscape, irrigation, nursery, and project terminology and coordinate effectively with technical teams. Professional proposal support, prequalification documentation, CRM discipline, forecasting, and management reporting. Integrity, confidentiality, persistence, and the ability to manage long sales cycles across multiple stakeholders. Employment Type Full-time
