Business Analyst

About We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially driven Business Analyst with an engineering background and strong business and finance orientation to support operational, commercial, and financial performance across our Lifting & Transport Division. The role will serve as a key link between Operations and Finance, driving profitability, resource optimization, business insights, and strategic decision-making. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline MBA in Finance, Business Management, or equivalent specialization is mandatory 2–5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Financial Analysis, Industrial Operations, Heavy Lifting, Transport Operations, Equipment Rental, or Engineering sectors Experience in heavy equipment, cranes, transport, logistics, construction, or asset-intensive industries is preferred Strong understanding of operational and financial performance management Responsibilities Analyze divisional performance, profitability, operating costs, revenue trends, and project margins Prepare operational MIS reports, KPI dashboards, and management reports Monitor project budgets, cost variances, billing status, and operational efficiencies Support budgeting, forecasting, annual business planning, and performance reviews Conduct profitability analysis by project, customer, service line, and business unit Track fleet utilization, asset deployment, workforce productivity, and project execution progress Identify performance gaps, operational bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities Support resource optimization, manpower planning, and equipment deployment strategies Develop analytical reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Procurement, Maintenance, and Commercial teams Support strategic planning, business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives Key Skills & Competencies Strong business, financial, and operational analysis skills Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability analysis Knowledge of project costing, variance analysis, and performance management Strong understanding of fleet utilization, resource planning, and operational KPIs Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or equivalent Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-support capabilities Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
