BI Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for efficient data ingestion and transformation, ensuring data integrity and reliability. Build and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, aggregate, and analyze data from various sources. Develop and implement robust data models and schemas that support business intelligence reporting and analytical needs. Create interactive and insightful dashboards and reports using BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, translating data into actionable business insights. Desired Candidate Profile 3–6 years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence, BI Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related role. Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases. Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Tableau. Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes and Data Warehousing. Experience in data modelling, including Star and Snowflake schemas. Experience working with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar. Experience developing dashboards, reports, KPIs, and analytical datasets. Good understanding of data quality, data validation, and data integration concepts. Exposure to cloud-based data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP. Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies is preferred. Experience with Power Query and DAX is preferred for Power BI-focused roles. Basic knowledge of Python for data processing or automation would be an advantage. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Experience working in an enterprise environment with multiple data sources and business stakeholders. Preferred Skills Banking or financial services experience. Experience working with large datasets and enterprise reporting platforms. Exposure to cloud-based BI and modern data platforms.
