Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Node.js Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain our core server-side logic. In this role, you will manage data exchange between servers and users, ensuring high performance, low latency, and responsiveness to frontend requests. You will work closely with frontend engineers to integrate user-facing elements and build scalable digital solutions. Roles and Responsibilities: API Development: Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs. Server Logic: Write clean, testable, maintainable, and efficient JavaScript/TypeScript code using Node.js. Database Management: Optimize relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) data structures and query performance. Architecture: Implement microservices architecture, event-driven design patterns, and asynchronous processing. Security & Protection: Implement rigorous data protection, user authentication (OAuth, JWT), and application-level security mechanisms. Frontend Integration: Collaborate with frontend developers to seamlessly integrate user-facing interfaces with server-side logic. Testing & Diagnostic: Conduct automated testing (using frameworks like Jest or Vitest) and perform diagnostic troubleshooting. DevOps Collaboration: Support deployment using containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and maintain continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Desired Candidate Profile Requirements and Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience: 2 to 5+ years of proven commercial experience in backend engineering using Node.js.Core. Proficiency: Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals, including event loops, asynchronous programming, and ES6+ features. Framework Knowledge: Expertise in modern Node.js backend frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify. Tooling: Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, primarily Git. System Design: Solid comprehension of scalable system design, design patterns, and SOLID principles. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Frontend Familiarity: Basic understanding of modern frontend libraries or frameworks like React, Next.js, or Vue. Message Brokers: Familiarity with message queues and cache engines like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis. AI Tooling: Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools or working with generative AI integrations. Location: Business Bay, Dubai, UAE. Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site (No Remote Option). Working Hours and days: 12:00pm - 9:00pm, Monday - Saturday. Because our Clients and Customers are based primarily in the UK, Europe and the Americas, Our working hours are aligned to those time zones to ensure we are available when those markets are active. Salary: AED 4,000-6,000 per month + Travel allowance + Visa + Insurance. Experience Required: 1-5 Years.
