The opportunity Assistant Manager Portfolio Analytics & Digital Tools Operational Excellence As part of EY s Business Consulting team, you will support a client-facing Strategic Operations Office focused on portfolio performance, data-driven decision-making, and digital enablement. You will work closely with client leadership and internal stakeholders to convert complex portfolio data into actionable insights, strengthen executive reporting, and design and maintain bespoke digital tools that improve initiative and portfolio performance management. The role is expected to operate in a secondment-style environment and requires frequent travel, including extended periods at client locations. Skills and attributes for success Lead the collection, validation, structuring, and analysis of portfolio, initiative, and performance data from multiple sources. Design, code, implement, test, document, and maintain bespoke digital tools for initiative and portfolio performance management. Develop solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate, or equivalent low-code platforms. Translate business requirements into practical digital workflows, automated processes, data models, and user-friendly tools. Develop executive-level dashboards, management reports, and leadership presentations that convert complex information into clear, actionable insights. Define and maintain portfolio KPIs, reporting logic, data standards, and governance controls to improve the quality and consistency of management information. Perform trend, variance, scenario, and root-cause analysis to identify delivery risks, dependencies, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities. Engage with initiative owners and stakeholders to clarify data requirements, resolve quality issues, and support timely reporting cycles. Provide guidance to users, maintain supporting documentation, and promote adoption of digital tools and reporting practices. Support continuous improvement of portfolio governance, reporting processes, and Strategic Operations Office ways of working. Work effectively within a client environment and travel frequently, including for extended assignments, as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

To qualify for the role, you must have: Bachelor s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. At least 5 years of relevant experience in analytics, data management, digital enablement, portfolio reporting, transformation, consulting, or a related area. Proven experience designing, coding, implementing, and maintaining bespoke digital tools using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate, or an equivalent low-code platform. Strong experience in executive-level reporting and dashboarding, with the ability to convert complex data into concise leadership insights. Strong analytical capability, attention to detail, data-quality discipline, and structured problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or comparable visualization tools is strongly preferred. Ability to gather requirements, manage stakeholders, and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced client environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Willingness and ability to travel frequently and remain at client locations for extended periods. Ideally, you ll also have Experience in utilities or another highly regulated sector. Experience supporting a Strategic Operations Office, transformation office, strategy office, PMO, or enterprise portfolio function. Knowledge of data governance, workflow automation, SQL, APIs, or broader Microsoft 365 integration capabilities. Experience working in consulting, professional services, or secondment-style client assignments. Arabic language capability.
