Accountant cum Shopfloor Supervisor – Manufacturing Industry

A. Accounting & Finance Maintain day-to-day accounting records and financial transactions. Prepare and maintain sales invoices, purchase invoices, receipts and payment records. Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable. Follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments. Coordinate with suppliers regarding invoices, payments and account statements. Maintain petty cash and daily cash transactions. Prepare bank reconciliation and monitor bank transactions. Verify purchase bills, expense bills and supporting documents. Maintain records of employee salaries, advances and other payments. Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and management for accounting requirements. Assist in VAT, tax and other statutory documentation as applicable. Maintain proper filing of financial and commercial documents. Prepare regular reports on sales, purchases, expenses, receivables and payables. Ensure all accounting entries are accurate and updated on time. B. Shopfloor Supervision Supervise daily production activities and ensure work is completed as per the production plan. Allocate manpower to different machines and production activities. Monitor operator attendance, productivity and discipline. Ensure machines are utilized effectively and minimize machine idle time. Coordinate with production, planning, stores, quality and management teams. Monitor availability of raw materials, consumables, tools and other production requirements. Track production quantities, rejection, rework and machine downtime. Ensure production is completed according to customer requirements and delivery schedules. Monitor material movement from stores to production and production to finished goods. Maintain daily production and manpower reports. Coordinate with maintenance team for machine breakdowns and maintenance requirements. Ensure proper housekeeping and workplace discipline on the shopfloor. Monitor compliance with safety procedures and ensure workers follow PPE requirements. Identify production issues and immediately report them to management.

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working both in the office and on the manufacturing shopfloor. The person should be able to handle routine accounting activities independently while also supervising manpower, production, material movement and dispatch activities. Employment Type Full-time
