Accountant

Job Description Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance. Perform bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reconciliations. Support month-end and year-end close activities. Assist in preparing monthly management reports and financial statements. Process and review supplier payments, employee expenses, and banking transactions. Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate cash position records. Manage accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring timely processing and follow-up. Liaise with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve finance-related queries. Support external audits by preparing schedules and required documentation. Prepare VAT returns and support taxation compliance and reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate financial records within the ERP system and support process improvement initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA are advantageous. 2 to 4 years of accounting experience. Strong experience in payment processing, banking operations, and reconciliations. Good knowledge of taxation, VAT compliance, and financial reporting. Understanding of IFRS and accounting best practices. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Must be based in the UAE (open to candidates without UAE work experience) Immediately available candidates preferred.
