Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the restaurant's daily accounting operations, monitor revenues and expenses, and ensure accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in the F&B or restaurant industry and a good understanding of restaurant accounting, inventory control, and cost management. Responsibilities Manage daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. Reconcile daily sales with cash collections, credit card transactions, and delivery platform reports. Monitor cash flow, petty cash, bank transactions, and supplier payments. Prepare and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records. Verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, and delivery notes. Monitor food and beverage costs, inventory movements, and stock discrepancies. Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and coordinate with kitchen and restaurant management. Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, profit and loss reports, and management reports. Monitor operating expenses and identify discrepancies or opportunities for cost control. Reconcile cash registers, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and accounting records. Follow up on supplier balances, outstanding payments, and customer accounts where applicable. Assist with payroll preparation and the recording of employee-related expenses. Ensure proper documentation and filing of invoices, receipts, and financial records. Support VAT and other applicable tax reporting requirements in accordance with Lebanese regulations. Coordinate with external auditors and management during financial reviews and audits.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 2 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the F&B, restaurant, or hospitality industry. Good knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience with POS systems, inventory management, and restaurant cost control is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines. Good command of Arabic and English.
