ABB RTU560 Testing Engineers
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for ABB RTU560 systems, ensuring thorough validation of functionality and performance. Perform in-depth testing of RTU560 configurations, including communication protocols, data acquisition, and control logic, to guarantee system integrity. Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and provide detailed reports with actionable recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with design and development teams to understand system requirements and contribute to testability. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing or commissioning of RTU SCADA systems, with a focus on RTUs. Proven experience with ABB RTU560 or similar RTU platforms is highly preferred. Strong understanding of communication protocols like IEC 61850, DNP3, IEC-101 and Modbus. RTU560 Configuration Verification Review existing RTU560 configuration: Signal database IEC 60870-5-101/104 or IEC 61850 mappings Validate: Point addressing Data class (SP, DP, AI, etc.) Communication parameters End-to-End SCADA Testing Perform complete loop testing: RTU → Communication → ADMS Identify: Missing signals Incorrect mappings Communication delays/errors Coordinate corrections with SCADA/ADMS team Compliance & Safety Follow SEC operational and safety procedures Ensure: No impact to live SCADA operations Proper coordination before simulation Adhere to: Permit-to-work system Cybersecurity and access protocols Employment Type Full Time Company Industry Power GenerationPower DistributionEnergyNuclear Energy Department / Functional Area Engineering Keywords Substation AutomationTest AutomationPower SystemsTest PlanningValidation EngineerTesting AnalystRTU TestingRTU TesterAutomation Test EngineerSCADA Test Engineer Get real-time job updates only on our App
